Metamarine TNT 46

Engineering distilled
from competition.

The TNT 46 was conceived for owners who demand performance at the limit of the category without compromising safety, reliability or visual impact. Every major system is shaped by the realities of sustained offshore running.

Kevlar composite hullThe infused Kevlar–PVC foam–Kevlar sandwich structure combines strength, stiffness and low weight. A 23-degree deadrise and twin hull steps introduce air beneath the running surface to reduce drag while retaining rough-water stability.
Suspended offshore cockpitThe ergonomic two-seat cockpit uses wraparound cushioned seats mounted on fully adjustable fork-based suspension, helping absorb offshore impacts. Large upper openings provide practical access and the wide screen maintains a clear field of vision.
Precise helm and trim controlInstrumentation is arranged for rapid reading, with short, natural movement between the wheel and throttles. Hydraulic steering and immediate trim-flap adjustment allow the crew to correct the boat’s attitude at high speed.
Power, airflow and accessTwin Seatek diesel engines, originally rated at 950 hp and upgraded to 1,100 hp each, sit in a generous engine bay designed for fast inspection and intervention. Large air intakes and an air–water separation system help protect reliable engine breathing.

Tommy One is equipped with GPS, satellite communications, an approximately 1,100-litre fuel tank, shock-mounted seating and upgraded flaps. The boat is approved for competition and pleasure navigation and has recorded a maximum speed of 116 knots.

Campaign inventory

Prepared for the season.

Tommy One is supported by a dedicated inventory of engines, drives, gear sets, race-matched propellers, engine components and specialist tools for preparation, tuning and long-distance reliability.

5
Pairs of billet Hering propellersTommy One travels with five matched pairs to cover different sea conditions and performance set-ups.
2
Zero-hour spare enginesA major operational advantage for reliability, rotation and campaign continuity.
2
Spare surface-drive unitsAdditional drivetrain resilience for racing and testing.
4
Pairs of transmission gearsFrom shorter rough-water gearing to longer calm-water ratios.
+
Engine spares and specialist toolingA substantial technical inventory supports inspection, servicing and race preparation throughout the campaign.

Knowledge transferred with the programme

Known from
the inside out.

Maurizio Schepici’s continued involvement preserves years of operating knowledge: how Tommy One responds to different propellers, gear ratios, sea conditions and record-running set-ups.

The continued involvement of Martino Cama, Tommy One’s chief mechanical specialist, retains specialist familiarity with both Seatek powerplants and the supporting systems. For the British and European campaign, that means better-informed testing and preparation built on real race history.
